The Unbound System by Tecicity, LLC is a patented quick-connect system to turn an average desk chair into a flight simulator, gaming station, driving simulator, or workstation.
In a recent blog post, we told the story of taking Unbound System by Tecicity, LLC from concept to market in less than a year. It began when a Naval Aviator brought his lifelong dream to build a better flight simulator for his daughters to BHW IP Law for our help in protecting his intellectual property and turning it into a viable business.
Since then, the Unbound System journey has continued its development with the release of its first products on Amazon:

In addition to the products already on Amazon, the Unbound System will expand soon with the release of several accessories to enhance the existing flight sim systems and to work with a soon-to-be-released system to expand the patented quick connect system to rapidly convert a typical desk chair into a driving simulator, flying yoke, or workstation and back to a simple desk chair.
As Tecicity, LLC has focused on rapid prototyping, production, and bringing multiple products to market, BHW IP Law has continued to provide full spectrum intellectual property advice and guidance. Since our last post, a second U.S. patent has been allowed, and we have transitioned to optimizing the Tecicity intellectual property portfolio to support and accelerate the growth of the business. Due to the early involvement of BHW IP Law, Tecicity LLC already has issued patent claims that can be used to defend its growing business at this critical stage.
BHW IP Law provided essential support with initial market offering to Amazon including:
- Assess patentability and marketability of existing and new inventions developed during rapid prototyping
- Assist with finding business advisors to optimize Amazon market and to address supply and manufacturing issues
- Continue to evolve and implement a comprehensive intellectual property strategy, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights
- Assess potential opportunities to assert granted patent rights against infringers in the market and to shape the Unbound System portfolio to provide optimum support to the client’s business objectives
- For competing products on Amazon, rapidly assess instances of potential infringement and aggressively utilize the internal Amazon process to report infringing products and pursue their removal from Amazon
